SSH Telnet in Web Hosting
If you have a web hosting account with our company and you want to deal with your content remotely via SSH, you may receive SSH access to the account through your Hepsia Control Panel. If your package doesn't provide this feature by default, you could add it with several clicks via the Upgrades menu. Inside the SSH section of the Control Panel, you shall see the host, the port number and the username that you need to use when you connect to the account. You can also select what password you would like to use, as it does not have to be the same as the one for your account. We've prepared numerous Help articles in which you may find each of the commands that you will be able to use with a shared hosting plan, plus examples of how they are used. Additionally, if SSH access is permitted for your account, you'll be able to establish a Secure FTP (SFTP) connection by using a standard client like FileZilla, for example.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Hosting
SSH access is included by default with some of our semi-dedicated server solutions, while with others you may include it from the hosting Control Panel if necessary - even only for the current month. Either way, you'll be able to activate and de-activate the feature with one mouse click through the SSH section of the Control Panel. In the same location, you'll discover the server name, the port number and the username needed to connect to our platform. You shall also find a box in which you can easily input the password which you want to use, because it does not need to be the same as the one you use to log into the Control Panel. For better protection, you may also change it as often as you require. The full list of the commands which can be executed in a semi-dedicated account is supplied in our Knowledge Base, along with the syntax and a number of instances. An extra function after SSH access is activated will be the ability to connect to your hosting space via SFTP through any FTP client that supports this sort of connections.
SSH Telnet in VPS
All our virtual private server offers include SSH access by default, so you will not have to include any upgrades or enable anything - the second the server is set up and you receive its login details, you shall be able to connect through its main IP address and the login credentials that you have picked during the signup procedure. Because the VPS accounts come with full root-level access, there aren't any restrictions in terms of the commands that you could run. Your server shall be isolated from the other ones on the physical machine, so you shall be able to manage pretty much everything via a command line, including server-side software installations and reboots. This way, you can work with your files, databases and any apps that you install in a fast and safe way.
